Tables and chairs are the most functional pieces that you can paint and decorate with chalk paint. It’s amazing to see the transformation. We love the old style furniture – it has so much character and quality that’s hard to find in modern day mass produced lines.

The classic Old White and Duck Egg paint combination works really well in our coastal area – this set looks like it belongs at the beach! This is a two colour distress –  French Provincial and very sweet. It resides now in a lovely old Queenslander in Brisbane.

The dining room set, below, has had a huge transformation! The seats we recovered in Annie Sloan fabric, for a touch of classic farmhouse. However, the table took on a bit more of a classic French look with mouldings and gold paint trim on the legs. The table top is Graphite with stencils in Old Ochre. We varnished the top in Annie Sloan Lacquer, (water based) and waxed the rest. It sold before it was finished!
