Basic Skills 10am - 2pm
Saturday 3rd, 1oth and 24th
For the first 2 hours, you learn about the 4 basic techniques of using chalk paint to paint furniture. You will be given all the latest product information and tips and tricks along the way. Consider what style and colours you will use to paint the small piece of furniture you have bought along to paint; it can be a chair, picture frame or tray. If you are unable to make it to the workshop on the day, and you would like to come along on a different date, please call to arrange.

Somewhere in the Sunshine is hosting a ‘retreat’, a two-day workshop,
for anyone who enjoys DIY and would love to visit the wonderful village of Tyalgum.
Day 1
involves a day of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. This paint has revolutionised the DYI furniture world! No sanding or prepping required. wwwanniesloan.com
You will learn the four basic techniques of chalk painting, her colour palette and all the tips and tricks for creating wonderful furniture. After lunch you will paint your piece of furniture using your new skills. All materials included. (10% off all paint supplies purchased at the workshop.)
Day 2
will be spent using the Iron Orchid Design air dry clay, resin, stamping and moulding; creating the vintage look. We will also be stencilling and learning some great techniques for decorating furniture and feature walls.
Lots of take home goodies as well as the latest news from the vintage upcycle craft world.
We finish the retreat with Pizza Night, held at Flutterbucks – located inside Flutterbies Cafe Restaurant; delicious pizza, live music, the Gin Bar, wine and boutique beer.
